Yes, Indianapolis Colts quarterback Peyton Manning is still very questionable to start in the regular season opener against the Houston Texans. But that does not mean he should be a must-avoid in your fantasy football draft.
Manning, who is still recovering from his offseason neck surgery and practicing on a limited basis with his team, is an elite NFL quarterback without question. A period of injury and recovery won't likely diminish his effectiveness once he is ready to take the field.
The benefit to fantasy football GMs is that they can expect to grab Manning in a later round than in years previous.
