In line for a big workload and with a tasty matchup against a suspect New York Jets defense on tap, Indianapolis Colts running back Vick Ballard's first career start should be a coming-out party.
Ballard will get his first crack at being in the opening lineup after starter Donald Brown underwent knee surgery earlier this week. According to Michael Fabiano of NFL.com, Brown's recovery will take two or three weeks, giving Ballard plenty of time to make an impact.
