After leading 26-0, the Indianapolis Colts backups blew the huge lead to lose 27-26 to the New York Giants in Week 2 of the NFL preseason.
However, things were almost all positive for the Colts' starters that were able to give them such an early lead. Andrew Luck seemed right at home in the offense, going 12-for-18 with 89 yards and a touchdown despite not having Reggie Wayne or T.Y. Hilton.
More importantly, the defense showed up in a big way early on, completely shutting down Eli Manning and the rest of the Giants. At halftime, the Giants had put up just 48 total yards and seven passing yards, with players like Bjoern Werner and D'Qwell Jackson making big impacts.
