Indianapolis Colts 2010 Training Camp: Safety Jamie Silva Out for Season

Melvin Bullitt was the Special Teams co-captain alongside with kicker Adam Vinatieri last season. But Bullitt suggested that back-up safety Jamie Silva should have been one of the co-captains instead of himself being honored as one on special teams.
"In every way, Jamie deserved it more than I did," Bullitt said. "I'm praying for him and hope he's back and ready to go next season."
Silva is entering his third year in the league and was expected to start a punt-returner this season for the Colts. However, seeing that happen is most definitely unlikely now that he is out for the season after injuring his knee ligament in the team's 37-17 pre-season loss to the the San Francisco 49ers.
