Drake Nevis to Indianapolis Colts: 2011 NFL Draft Scouting Report

One of the top three-technique defensive tackles in the 2011 NFL draft class, Drake Nevis often seems overlooked despite terrorizing SEC offensive lines in 2010.
Nevis, a 6’1", 285-pound prospect from LSU, racked up 56 tackles, a team-high 13 tackles for a loss, six sacks and three forced fumbles in 2010. The former Tiger was honored for his achievements by being named first team All-American by CBSSports.com and second team All-American by the Associated Press, Walter Camp and Rivals.com.
Though not likely an every-down defensive tackle, Nevis has displayed the skills to claim a spot in an NFL defensive line rotation. Nevis has good agility and burst and excels at disengaging from blocks, while also having a wide enough frame to anchor against the run.
