Drafting a QB with a No. 1 Pick Is a Tough Call in Baltimore

Professional football teams that have made their home in Baltimore have one common trait.
Whenever these teams used their first draft pick on a quarterback, doom and gloom was sure to follow. The Baltimore teams include the AAFC Colts (1947-1949), the NFL Colts (1950), the second NFL Colts (1953-1983), the and Ravens (1996-present).
To date, it appears that of the eight QBs drafted with the first pick, there is one who will be considered a statistical success.
Two of the draftees were so bad that they may have destroyed the Baltimore Colts franchise.
One draftee lead the team to three playoff losses. He never quit, despite the beating he took from the opponents.
