Delone Carter has been a staple of the Syracuse offense since his freshman season in 2006. Coming off a Second Team All-Big East season in 2010, Carter leaves the Orange as the school's fourth career rushing leader with 2,906 yards.
At 5'9" and 222 lbs, he's a bruiser with solid 4.54 speed and the agility and quickness to make big plays. He's got the size to be an every down back and has a good pair of hands that should make him a reliable target in the passing game as well.
The MVP of the East-West Shrine Game, Carter could turn out to be one of the steals of the draft.
The Colts went offensive tackle in rounds one and two and now add a piece to the backfield. With Joseph Addai an impending free agent and Donald Brown injury prone and unproven, Carter could play a pretty big role from day one.
