Anthony Castonzo’s remarkable growth in both size and pass-blocking acumen in his years at Boston College excites NFL scouts and convinced the Indianapolis Colts front office to pick him at No. 23. The Walter Camp second-team All-American hit the college ranks as a tight end prospect but rapidly added bulk and moved inside to become a quick, athletic left tackle.
Perhaps the most durable of the top offensive line draftees, Castonzo started 54 games without missing a start during a three-year span. Castonzo moves his 6'7", 311 lb. frame effectively against speed-rushers and pass-blitzes, though he could add some upper body strength and improve his push in the running game.
