There’s a certain language to the NFL draft each spring, and the approach of Indianapolis Colts general manager Ryan Grigson can accurately be summarized using three letters: BPA.
Taking the best player available is preached repeatedly through that industry-standard abbreviation, especially in the opening round. On a fundamental level the strategy seems foolproof.
