The Indianapolis Colts have made a midseason free-agent splash, picking up former Steelers running back Chris Rainey, per ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter.
One of the faster running backs in the league, Rainey could be a solid third-down back in Indianapolis.
General manager Ryan Grigson is smart to add another offensive weapon, considering the fact that top pass catcher Reggie Wayne is out for the rest of the year with an ACL injury.
