In the NFL, the team with the worst overall record gets the first pick in each round. The first pick has high expectations and can often make or break a team.
This year, speculation has surrounded the possible emergence of purposeful losing in order to secure that No. 1 pick.
This is because, this year, that No. 1 pick is a particularly impressive prospect.
Andrew Luck is the quarterback for Stanford. He throws like a Pro Bowler and has made a slightly-better-than-average team a BCS National Championship contender. The guy has more potential than a two-year-old hitting Par Five holes in one on a regular basis.
Luck can technically choose to play college ball for one more year, due to his redshirt, but he probably won't.
