Speculation has risen that the Indianapolis Colts may move Reggie Wayne and Robert Mathis before the trade deadline. The move would ultimately validate concerns that teams may actually be taking the "Suck for Luck" race seriously.
People don't want to believe that a bad team would try to make themselves worse in order to put themselves in a better position for the future. However, that's exactly what the Colts would be doing if they traded away their best offensive and one of their best defensive players.
Wayne and Mathis aren't in their prime, but having them on the field puts the Colts "in danger" of winning games. Getting them out of Indy would send the Colts a couple of picks and make them the runaway fav...
