For several years, the Colts reigned atop the AFC South. Peyton Manning ruled the airwaves, Edgerrin James or Joseph Addai ran the show, and the defense played good enough not to screw it up. The Jaguars were second in command most of the time, battling for a Wild-Card berth.
But 2008 may have signaled a changing of the guard. Colts out. Jaguars way out. Titans in.
The final standings
Tennessee: 13-3
Indianapolis: 12-4
Houston: 8-8
Jacksonville: 5-11
For once, the AFC South is a division teeming with turmoil heading into a season.
Can the Titans prove 2008 was no fluke?
Certainly nobody expects Tennessee to go 13-3 again. But it'd be a slap in the face of Jeff Fisher to write them off from the playoff picture all together.
